HNL-LAX-YYZ where will I go through customs/immigration?

Yes, but again-- the OP was asking about HNL-LAX. He said nothing about a flight to Canada, only that he happened to be Canadian, which as I pointed out, is irrelevant when flying HNL-LAX. We could speculate all day on what he might have really meant to ask; I answered the question he actually did ask.

In post 4, if you had been a little more careful in your selective quoting, you would have been less confused on what the OP was asking.

The OP clearly stated in the first post that the flights were HNL-LAX-YYZ. The question without speculation was where to clear customs and immigration into Canada. It's just that we are used to the fact we clear US immigration at many airports while we are still in Cda. I don't think anyone would ever consider the need on the domestic portion of the flight.

The American system (here in Cda) is great. Get all the paperwork over with before starting the flight - not at the tail-end after you've been travelling all day.

I was not confused at all. The OP wanted to know where he would clear immigration, LAX or YYZ. I clarified why it would NOT be done at LAX.

I stand corrected, as the OP did indeed state he'd be continuing on to YYZ. The facts remain the same though. HNL-LAX is a domestic flight, so there is no immigration for anyone upon arrival of that flight into LAX. Further, as there is no pre-clearance for Canadians at HNL, there are no special exceptions to the prior statement. My apologies for not previously adding that clarifier.

Um, ok. Anyway, moving along....
