Shared shuttle vs private transfer?

Hello, cruise fans :)

I would like to know your opinion on shared cruise transportation.

My family of four (kids 1.5 and 3.5 y/o) is sailing in two weeks with Disney. I can't decide between a shared cruise shuttle and a private transfer. What would you choose if the price is not important? I think maybe the cruise shuttle would be fun for kids (first time on the bus, excitement, meeting new friends). Or am i wrong and it will be mostly ...waiting in long lines, crowds and screaming/tired kids??? I have never used a shared shuttle before. Any advice?

Much better to do a private transfer.

 

I think at their ages they are not going to make friends on a bus.

The only advantage of the bus is that car seats are not required. In a shared shuttle or car service you will either need to arrange for car seats or bring your own.

 

The shuttle should be about $16 each while the cruise bus tends to be about $30 each - not sure about the fare for kids on the bus? :confused:

 

Besides a shuttle you might also look into limo service - Larry's Limos, Holland Limo and Go Airport should be able to take you from FLL to POM and arrange for car seats if you are not bringing your own.

I guess we'll book a private transfer. The company we usually use provides free car seats and the travel time is only 45 min.

I think you are correct in using private transfer.
