mnsweeps Posted October 9, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 9, 2015 Everyone in the many threads talk about the hop on / hop off trolley. Are you guys talking about http://www.cityviewtrolleys.com/keywest/index.html one ? or is there a free one ?
keywester33 Posted October 9, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 9, 2015 There is no free trolley. There are two companies, Cityview is the link you posted and they are my recommendation for cruise ship passengers since it stays in Old Town and is less expensive then the other trolley. The other company is called Old Town Trolley if you want to compare.
WLHyatt Posted October 11, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 11, 2015 We used city view in 2014 and will again in 2016.
emory2001 Posted October 15, 2015 #4 Share Posted October 15, 2015 I'm interested too, just booked a summer cruise with a KW stop. I found this old thread that compares Cityview and Old Town Trolleys. (There is a strong consensus!) http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1444999
cruiseonthebrain Posted December 23, 2015 #5 Share Posted December 23, 2015 We like the Old Town trolley (in pretty much every city they run it's our favorite). Honestly, though, I don't think I would do the trolley if I was coming in from a cruise for the day. You can pretty much walk every place downtown or catch a quick cab. We use the trolley mainly when we are staying at the other end of Key West, don't have a car or don't want to drive and park, and will be making multiple trips daily between the downtown area and our hotel. Thanks, that's good to know. I'll explore that more.
