MFR - Myofascial Release.

That's likely going to be a therapist-by-therapist question. I believe most massage programs cover the basics but therapists go on to receive additional myofascial training. I would not allow someone without that training to perform that type of massage on me - especially not on a ship!

Hi

My wife has a chronic back problem and of course this leads to lots of issues not least myofascial. We have recently discovered via her. chiropractor an instrument, the Erchonia Percussor. It seems to help her a lot and we have actually ordered one so we can have it a t home and traveling. It seems easy to use. It certainly seems more effective than my clumsy attempts at massage!

I also HAD a chronic back problem after being kicked 36 feet through the (closed) back doors of a cattle truck by a one ton Brahman Bull when I was 25.

At one stage I thought I would never walk again.

After 35 years of trying everything (except surgery) I started learning Pilates from a qualified experienced teacher to build up my core strength.

I am now without back pain most of the time, (except when I do something silly!) :)
