Bottomless Bubbles Soda Question

Hi,

Quick question about the Bottomless Bubbles unlimited soda sticker:

I've read that you buy it once onboard and you can get it at either the casino bar or the pool bar. I'd like to take care of it as soon as I board before the ship gets crowded. I don't think the casino opens right away, so where is the "pool bar" (what deck number etc.)?

I know there are several pools onboard, and I'm not sure which one has the bar I need to go to. I'll be on the Pride.

Thanks!

Hi,

I just ordered mine yesterday, I did so online. I just popped over to Carnival. You can purchase Bubbles in the Lobby, Casino or Pool Bar. I'm on the Imagination for a little 4 day.

Yeah, I have to go get a sticker, and probably a cup. I'll just go to the Lobby and show my receipt. I've always seen the little booths around the ship on sailing day. I'm sure you won't have any problem.

:). Bobbi ?

I always get this and I've always signed up for it on the Lido Deck by the main pool, right between Guy's and the Taco joint. This has been on both the Glory and Liberty. The lines can get long, if there's a way to do it at check-in or online, that would be great.

I bought bottomless bubbles online. I assumed my card would have it on it when I checked in. Do I really need to bring a printed receipt from home, and go somewhere on the ship for a sticker? Can someone confirm? If so, that is really dumb.

Thanks.

Note that if you order Bottomless Bubbles for your kids and do not place a balance on their S&S card, even if you ordered this in advance, you will need to go to go to Guest Services to add a balance, then go to the venue to get it implemented (on the Splendor it was the Coffee Shop).

I spoke to Carnival about his directly before our cruise 2 weeks ago, as my husband always purchases the bottomless bubbles.

I was advised directly from a Carnival rep. If you purchase the bottomless bubbles in advance you STILL must go to the coffee bar to get your sticker and to activate it. You do not get it on your card when you check in. They do have your purchase in the system, and they did not say anything to me about "taking my receipt" with me, but I would just in case.

Either way, you have to still go to the coffee bar to get it activated and to get the sticker so no real advantage to buying in advance (except if you want to prepay it for financial reasons). If you just buy on board you can get it the minute you walk on the ship in the lobby bar, also by the pool bar, so really more choices instead of having to specifically go to the coffee bar.

You will get a stickered S&S card when you check in. So no need to go to any bar for the sticker.

Sorry, this is not correct for Carnival. Even when prepaid, the Bottomless Bubbles sticker has to be acquired at a bar. Last week, I went to the aft pool bar (on Conquest) and the bartender had a list of those who had prepaid.

Also note that you will be charged tax (9 cents, in our case) on any soda you get through Bottomless Bubbles until the vessel clears into international waters.

How much extra is the discounted cup? Can I bring my own cup, like a travel mug or do you have to use theirs? I have the Carnival water bottle bag I bought on the last trip I will bring for this one. Last time I brought soda on board and on RC we purchased the soda package and they gave us nice mugs included in the price.

Can't answer cost question on their Carnival cup as we never purchase this with the bottomless bubbles package (and it is NOT included).

YES, you can however, take your own cup with you. We take Tervis tumblers with us to use on board the ship every trip. My husband has an extra large "Coke" one he uses, and I take the "Carnival" one that we received for a Past Guest Platinum gift a while back. I just wash them out in our room each night and reuse the next day.

PLEASE keep in mind though, for sanitary reasons it is always best to have your beverage served in one of their glasses and pour that into yours... also, like in my case, when I want lemonaid or juice from the lido, I fill one of their glasses and dump it into mine. That way, my glass I have drank out of is never coming in contact at all with the dispenser where everyone else is being served from.

Unless the cup is still offered at the discounted price when the Bottomless Bubbles is ordered online, I will be purchasing it onboard.

Maybe it was because I would tip every so often when I would get my soda or juice, but my cup was always rinsed out before then filled it up.

Yes, RC includes the souvenir cup because on their ships that are equipped with guest-accessible soda machines (Freestyle Coke machines, at least on some ships), the soda machines only operate when your souvenir cup -- with its built-in chip -- is placed in the machine.

It's lightyears beyond what Carnival does, and the process doesn't waste a Carnival bartender's time (or other bar patrons' time) getting you a soda.

It also means that, unlike on Carnival, you can get a soda refill even after the bars are closed.
