almitra Posted October 31, 2015 #1 Share Posted October 31, 2015 (edited) Is there a dining room open instead of the uber crowded lido buffet everybody goes to upon boarding the ship? Thanks! Edited October 31, 2015 by almitra
sanmarcosman Posted October 31, 2015 #2 Share Posted October 31, 2015 No, the buffet and the pizza and sandwich stations only until dinner is served.
freedomcruiser891 Posted October 31, 2015 #3 Share Posted October 31, 2015 Fish n chips is never crowded on embarkation day! I think people don't know where it's at but its pretty good. Freedoms buffets are spaced out so there's really not too bad of a crowd for the most part.

elliair Posted October 31, 2015 #5 Share Posted October 31, 2015 Is there a dining room open instead of the uber crowded lido buffet everybody goes to upon boarding the ship? Thanks! There's no alternative other than bring your own food on board and eat it anywhere on the ship. IMHO, it defeats the purpose of enjoying that first meal on board with very little hassle. Plenty of alternatives available. May as well get use to lines on a ship.
YubaSutter Posted October 31, 2015 #6 Share Posted October 31, 2015 We always eat a good meal at a restaurant before getting on the boat.

It's located one deck above the main buffet, so it only gets a subset of the buffet's crowds. I read some really good reviews about it, although you have to like fish and/or seafood to enjoy it. jandjtexas Posted November 1, 2015 #9 Share Posted November 1, 2015 Fish & Chips. Head up those stairs in the back buffet area, usually not many people there. Great food, if you like oysters tell them double as an order is only 3. There is also a drink station up there.
thephillykid Posted November 1, 2015 #10 Share Posted November 1, 2015 Fish & Chips is great, just head up the steps that are near where they display desserts. The oysters and the ceviche are great. Howard
