alternative to lido buffet on embarkation day on Freedom?

Is there a dining room open instead of the uber crowded lido buffet everybody goes to upon boarding the ship? Thanks!

No, the buffet and the pizza and sandwich stations only until dinner is served.

Fish n chips is never crowded on embarkation day! I think people don't know where it's at but its pretty good. Freedoms buffets are spaced out so there's really not too bad of a crowd for the most part.

There's no alternative other than bring your own food on board and eat it anywhere on the ship. IMHO, it defeats the purpose of enjoying that first meal on board with very little hassle. Plenty of alternatives available. May as well get use to lines on a ship.:rolleyes:

I second the Fish and Chips suggestion. It's located one deck above the main buffet, so it only gets a subset of the buffet's crowds. I read some really good reviews about it, although you have to like fish and/or seafood to enjoy it.

Fish & Chips. Head up those stairs in the back buffet area, usually not many people there. Great food, if you like oysters tell them double as an order is only 3. There is also a drink station up there.

Fish & Chips is great, just head up the steps that are near where they display desserts.

The oysters and the ceviche are great.
