B2B San Juan - Help

Recommended Posts

My goal for taking my next cruise on Royal is to book a B2B while on board. I am looking for an alternating southern itinerary to hit as many islands as possible with St Lucia at the top of the list. I was going back and forth between ships and dates but figured it might be quicker to ask here.

Is one itinerary better than another or ship too?

We've enjoyed both ships and both itineraries. You cannot go wrong with either.

We've done two different B2B Cruises on the Adventure Of The Seas. Great ship and Staff. Enjoyed all the ports of call. We're doing a B2B Cruise on the Jewel Of The Seas April 2017. Great ship and Staff. Great ports of call on this Cruise also. That's why we booked it. Can't go wrong with either ship. Jewel is smaller (Radiance Class) than the Adventure ( Voyager Class). Centrum vs Royal Promenade. I know the Jewel is scheduled for dry dock this April 2016. I think it's fair to say it boils down to personal preference. No matter what ship or itinerary you choose you can't go wrong, IMO.

So they both offer up alternating itineraries? I will be on Serenade and have done Voyager so I can easily decide which ship I like better.

Not sure how I will like 2 weeks on board with so many ports but want to try it once. Airfare is so much to San Juan, why fly twice? Lol

Yes, both ships do alternating itineraries.

All our B2Bs have always been alternating itineraries. We love two week Cruises.

Adventure of the Seas offers the best southern for b2b

We were on a B2B once on the Adv. of the Seas. It was wonderful. Visited 10 ports and only one repeat. St. Thomas at the beginning of the 1st week and again St. Thomas the last port on the 2nd week. You will enjoy the B2B believe me. If you book early enough you should have the same cabin for both weeks and not have to move. :D

The southern Caribbean is a wonderful itinerary to do a B2B on ......... many excellent ports and excursions , if that's your thing.

Personally, I prefer the Adventure because it has a Promenade, which means if you want a cup of coffee before 7:00 a.m. or after 12:00 midnight you don't have to call for room service.

Also, I'm a smoker (one of those) and the Adventure is the most smoke friendly ship in the fleet IMO.

Smoking is on the starboard side, which is the same side where the Diamond Lounge is located, meaning that you can (naturally smoke) have drinks and appetizers out on their veranda while you watch the rock climbers and basketball players on the court one deck below.

Outdoor smoking is allowed on the outside 4th deck, the pool deck (11) and deck 12.

Indoor smoking is allowed in the Concierge Lounge and the casino.

Aruba is my favorite island (have been going there since you were charged $20 cash to get off the island at the airport, which was the size of your local McDonald's) because the weather was always great, always a breeze on the beach, a turquoise sea with small wavelets , excellent restaurants, friendly people and a lot of things to see and do.

Favorite restaurant is Madame Jeanette's located near the low rise and hi-rise hotels in a residential area.

Windsurfing was initiated on Palm Beach in front of where they have built a Ritz Carlton (the same exact area that the Holloway girl went missing years ago).

Generally, the ship docks in Oranjstad early in the morning and doesn't leave until 11:00 p.m., so you have plenty of time to do whatever you want.

Been on 4 b2b on Adventure and no smoking allowed in Concierge lounge so not sure which other lounge you may be referring too. All the ships in the fleet have a smoking policy that is adhered to for locations.
