If you recall..can you tell us if the Nellie's over the water cabanas looked fully booked? I have purchased one at the very high recently increased price in January as our party of 5 consists of 3 people with varying special needs and I was thinking that the shade, fan and place to call home would be very beneficial. (We aren't doing many other excursions, so felt that the price was fine for us - although I know it is controversial). In any case, I'm thinking that we might be better off just getting two clam shells on Nellies or Columbus, but I'm afraid of cancelling the cabana at this point until I can figure out what is best for our group. I think my main worry is that chairs will all be grabbed very quickly on these two beaches and we will be left with something in the sun or too far away from the water for us to enjoy for the day. Is this a valid concern? Since you are on the same ship (same amount of people) can you give us an idea as to how busy these two beaches become and how quickly? If you happened to notice through your Labadoozie goggles ;)

Sure, I have some pics from those areas. I did notice that many were in use on nellies beach but some were not, but keep in mind we were on the island by 8 :15 and i walked from adrenaline beach to nellies about 10:30 so they may all be taken by later in the day, the cabanas that is. There seemed to be plenty of clamshells available but if I were you and you booked the cabana already I would keep it.

One thing I am not aware of and maybe my pics once they load (easier said than done lol) will show is how accessible they are or are not if you have wheelchair special needs.

Another note, the have lots of paved paths now, way more than when we were last here 4 years ago or so, so if you have special needs in a wheelchair it seems much easier, and there are wheelchairs with large rubber wheels with locals who will push you to any part of the island for a tip of course. We used them previously for my mother-in-law.

Look for the pics soon, and have a blast either way and don't fret, just enjoy!

SEADOG, Thanks for the daily updates. They have been very eye opening as we sail on Dec 6. We are also booked on the freedom in late Feb (28th). We are booked in cabin 1853 on deck 12. This cabin was newly created during the last ship upgrade. Have not been able to get much information on it other than it is high and up front. My wife is nervous about where the entry to the cabin is. She doesn't like it to be in the middle of the long side as that layout is hard to work with.

If you get a chance in your travels please take a look and see.

Have a great cruise and we look forward to additional updates.

I will make note to try and check that out for you. I usually can get most answers eventually, but I apologize upfront if I fail. But this one should be easy.

Thanks for checking in!

Onward to Labadeeeheehee

A locals band providing soothing rhythms as we enter, you will have to trust me on the soothing rhythms sound part :)

A helpful map to give you the lay of the land. Don't worry you cannot get lost even if you want to ;)

There are several tram stops where a tram pulled by a tractor will take you to most areas of the island for the cost a tip. In our effort to get our miles in we shunned, shunned I tell you the trams :) and walked all over.

Rental shack for mats and various beach items:

One of the aforementioned paths that are somewhat newish to us since our last visit and much more plentiful. One note these can get very hot later in the day after the sun beats on them when in bare feet. Don't ask how I know this

Are we there yet? Nope there are the daybeds off in the distance! Maybe we shouldn't have shunned those tram cars. For you new jersyites watch the tram car please!

Wooo finally we made it to daybed # 5. Included in the price the daybed comes with a cooler of bottled evian water ice cold and your own personal waiter/ butler. Marie was our assistant and I took to calling her Ms MoneyPenny as she was quite helpful to us getting us drinks and anything we needed such as some medication for our vacation in the form of a labadoozie or two or maybe three, as my recollection is somewhat foggy at the moment:

Once settled and the medication settling in I headed to the water, but be warned, water shoes are recommended due to lots of coral

After cooling off I heard a strange noise and looked up to see superman or just people zip-lining

So I figured why not add a little adventure to the day, after all we are at adrenaline beach so I wouldn't do anything as crazy as zip-lining down a metal cable a couple hundred feet in the air ( no offense if you zip line :) ) So I went on the coaster, a metal track embedded in the side of the mountain lol

Never been bombarded by a pelican, but have been by seagulls. At a beach, tourists were tossing up bread for them to eat, and said tourists were upwind of us. Of course, the seagulls were hover over us. We had to to move.

There is a reason why I call seagulls "rats with wings"

Yeah that was for sure, it was peppered all around her, she was very lucky!

After reading the waiver form and realizing it basically says you are signing up to die and it is no ones fault but your own I happily signed and paid, but how much I paid I have no idea as it did not seem to indicate it anywhere that I saw, so hopefully not to crazy.

So I get in line to board and think this cant be to bad there are young kids doing it so how bad could it be. ( mind you I hate real roller coasters that have the huge drops so..)

Oh boy - what a ride! And nice view of the ship.

It was a nice ride, however Mrs Seadog seems to think the cost was in the $30 range for one ride (I am not sure) and it in no way is worth that much. I hope she is wrong.

Loving this report with all the pics! Our first RC cruise is on the Freedomin June '16. We'll be meeting up with my parents on the cruise, so it will be fun to show them these great photos!

I love the daybed...are these on Coco Cay as well?

Thanks so much for sharing your trip with us!

Back on Labadee, after the coaster I took a stroll around the Island. A stroll not a saunter mind you..

While at Columbus Cove I ran into this little fellow. Couple more years little man you will make a nice crabcake

At columbus cove you can water ski, use the water park or dragon water slide, but from what I saw the slide could use way more water flow as most riders barely made it to the bottom

Here is the prices I believe for watersports

Then headed back to nellies beach (again if you have a cabana I would keep it)
