Annular Eclipse 3rd October

Sometimes I think I have too much time on my hands:o, but looking at the calendars for the Celebrity ships in Europe, Century looks to have the best view of the annular eclipse happening tomorrow. She is in Barcelona and it will only be a partial one, but the sky should noticably darken tomorrow morning local ship time around 11am. Millie and Galaxy should also see it quite well. So if you are a bit nerdy at times like me, have a look at the bridge cam archives tomorrow and see the landscape darken.

Thanks for pointing this out, Phil! Our very first cruise ever was on a Carnival ship where we saw an awesome (and relatively long) total solar eclipse off the coast of Mexico.

 

I just wanted to point out that for an annular eclipse, one cannot watch any part of it directly without damaging their eyes unless they are using the right filters, etc. There are a variety of safe indirect methods as well.
