SeaBands Posted December 18, 2015 #4 Share Posted December 18, 2015 but if you bring it to the dining room you will be charged corkage. You can bring as much as you can carry and prepay the $18 corkage when you board. It's charged to your cabin account.

Blue Mudshark Posted December 18, 2015 #7 Share Posted December 18, 2015 Is the 2 bottle allowance per passenger or cabin? The allowance is one 750 ml bottle per passenger 21 or older. Beyond that, it's $18 corkage fee for each 750 ml bottle. Larger containers are not allowed.
crystalspin Posted December 18, 2015 #8 Share Posted December 18, 2015 To the OPs and any others, new-ish to cruising or HAL -- We cruised out of Valparaiso with 3 adults -- there was a Chilean wine seller IN THE TERMINAL BUILDING, actually I think there were two! We bought the three "free" bottles only, at about $15 each, because doubling the price per bottle with the corkage fee seemed ridiculous. BTW I love Carménère and the other Chilean wines we got. The cheapest wine by the bottle on the ship (or at least that was featured and that we bought) was $35 and it was shall I say, undistinguished. As is the house wine by the glass. So consider that a $15 bottle + $18 corkage, is a $33 wine you really enjoy. Vs a $35 and up bottle that will be a pig-in-a-poke.
Fancy Feet Posted December 19, 2015 #9 Share Posted December 19, 2015 Do they check cases for wine? We are a couple with both bottles in the one case. Looking forward to meeting you but not sure how to join meet and greet...cheers

Looking forward to meeting you but not sure how to join meet and greet...cheers They'll scan your bags. Your wine needs to be in your carry on. You can bring more wine, subject to corkage once you exceed the 1 bottle per person limit, but you have to carry it on yourself.
