smoke /views etc 6205

thinking of booking cabin 6205 on the solstice, has anyone been in this balcony cabin and what is it like for views / cigarette smoke from deck 5 .

You will have a view forward and straight out but not so much aft. Your balcony will be regular sized and if the pax in the cabin next to you just aft, they have a slanted balcony so if they are at their railing, they can easily look onto your balcony. I have not had much of a problem with this, though.

 

You will have some smoke wafting up onto your balcony if there are a number of smokers that congregate on deck 5 below at the smoking section. It will really depend on how many smokers there are on your cruise....and there is not a way of knowing that until you are onboard. I have been on cruises where we've never seen any smokers and some where there are a number of smokers. Just so hard to predict.

We just got off Silhouette in 6207, the last one on the slant, right next to 6205 and it is above the extreme aft end of the smoking section on 5. We smelled no smoke at all there since most smokers tended to be toward the front section.

 

Personally we liked the location on the ship.
