ColinIllinois Posted February 4, 2016 #2 Share Posted February 4, 2016 You will want to post this on the Roll Call forum. Look for the ship/sailing date you are going on. Nola26 Posted February 4, 2016 #3 Share Posted February 4, 2016 hi there, anyone experiance being on the Sky as a Solotraveller? Plan on doing it in October 4night cruise thanks a lot I did the 3 day over Thanksgiving in 2014 and loved it. I didn't connect with any organized meet and greets, but had fun on ship. Casino, basketball, spa, complimentary meals, shows, parties were all really fun. Only port was Nassau. I did some p'rework and walked to the National Art gallery, shopped and took a taxi to Atlantis. Weather had us skip GSC, but I had a blast onboard and bought a spa deal for the day. I hit over 20,000 steps on that sea day, so much fun to be had. Considered the same trip for 2015. But I made the mistake of bringing the family on a summer cruise so now they expect to cruise with me every time!

ClayoftheLake Posted February 12, 2016 #5 Share Posted February 12, 2016 hi there, anyone experiance being on the Sky as a Solotraveller? Plan on doing it in October 4night cruise thanks a lot I was recently on the Sky as a solo cruiser, and would recommend the Sky for solo travel. I was made to feel quite at home by the crew and staff and because of it's shorter itineraries and free alcohol it is easy to make cruise friends if you want, but it's just as easy to keep to yourself. They do have solo cruiser "meetings" as a daily activity, but I did not attend. One thing about freestyle cruising that you may want to keep in mind as a solo cruiser is that you will be seated by yourself in the dining room. (Because there are no assigned tables). But I found that because I was a solo cruiser, it was quite easy for me to get on of the tables overlooking the stern in Crossings because they are two tops and there seemed to be mostly groups onboard so the two tops were almost always open. However if you do make friends onboard you can always sit together at meals. Personally I rather enjoy solo cruising as I never have to worry about what anyone else wants to do, and can always just do my own thing.
