lovelife64 Posted March 31, 2016 #1 Share Posted March 31, 2016 hey and good day :) We have a cruise with the Costa Diadema strating from Rome at 28/4/2016 The ship leaves at 19:00. This is our first time !! From your experience at what time do you think we should arrive to the port? We will sleep the night before in a hotel in central Rome near Trevi Fountain and we plan to tour the area in the morning before leaving to the port. We will take a privte Shuttle to the port from the hotel. Is it o.k. to leave around 14:00 and to arrive at 16:00 (taking the risk of 2 hours in the way)? is it too late? How much time dose it take from the moment we arrive with the shuttle to the port till we on the ship? Thanks in advance for your answers
CruiserBruce Posted March 31, 2016 #2 Share Posted March 31, 2016 First of all, you need to find out from Costa when "all aboard" is and when the life boat drill is. All aboard will likely be 2 hours prior to scheduled sailing. Allowing 2 hours is a good idea. But when you need to depart Rome depends on the answers to all aboard and life boat drill. From drop off, to being on board can be as few as 10 minutes, but more likely 20 minutes or so, and can be over 30 minutes. All depends on any line that might be there. Rare Keith1010 Posted April 1, 2016 #3 Share Posted April 1, 2016 CruiserBruce has it right. Contact Costa or post on the Costa Cruise Line Boar or both to find out when you have to be on the ship and pad your time for things that can go wrong such as traffic, Keith
