Looking at Allure March 2018 (yes, a planner) and right now a central park balcony is slightly less than an OV.

 

Having no experience with this, I am trying to decide if it's better to have an OV or the central park balcony. Best would be an ocean balcony but that is considerably more.

If I could not have an OV balcony I would pick the Central Park balcony over an OV room

If I could not have an OV balcony, I'd pick the OV over a Central Park or Boardwalk balcony.

Pick a boardwalk balcony as aft as you can get, and you will get ocean view plus boardwalk view. Try to get as high as you can but avoid under the pool deck.

I love Central Park so I would definitely take a CP balcony before an OV. We pretty much need a balcony (especially with 3 in a cabin), so it would be a no-brainer for me.
