Noordam still docked in Sydney

I hope there are no more technical problems with the Noordam. She was due to sail at 4.00pm - all aboard was 3.30pm.

 

It is now 6.03pm and no sign of movement.

She is tooting now and pushing out from the terminal. 6.43pm.

I assume this is related to the azipod problem reported by Laura S in the stickies? I still don't understand how an apizod can be assembled incorrectly and if one is, how it can run for some period of time that way.

It was a circuit board in the computer control of the Azipod that was giving the wrong commands. If you had been sitting in the back of the dining room prior to them fixing it in Napier you would have noticed the terrible noise from the motors. You had to shout to be heard.
