Cruisetour Info/Question....

Hello all,

 

We are scheduled for Celebrity Alaska sailing in July 2017, my question is, is it permissible for us, if we found one, to take another ships Cruisetour (other than X's) then go meet our ship?

 

Just a thought....

I'm not thinking that you can, because of the luggage logistics on, lets say, Princess....some luggage goes ahead to the ship, and they wouldn't store it for you if you weren't part of the whole cruisetour, which is booked as a bundle. But you can independently book a stay with Princess Lodges, according to their website http://www.princesslodges.com/ and do a land tour.

 

You would have to check to see if they could provide transportation to get you to your port for your Celebrity cruise, or you'd have to provide for yourself. Princess sails from Whittier.

 

Not sure how helpful this is, I'm sure others will chime in!

I can't imagine that it would be possible

However if your itinerary is a simple one, you can travel DIY .... book a Princess or HAL lodge independently and book your own train/bus tickets. By simple itinerary I mean that the stops are along the train route .... Fairbanks, Denali, Talkeetna, Anchorage, Seward, Whittier.

Take a look at graylinealaska.com. These tours are part of the Princess/Holland America tour business but operate separately. If you go to the Alaska tourism website there will be plenty of options for independent packaged tours that you can arrange to coordinate with your cruise.
