Ship time vs. local time

It has been several years since I cruised Carnival - do they keep the same time on the ship regardless of the time zone? We are leaving from Miami - the cruise itinerary says we will be in Aruba from 8am - 4pm - is that actually 9am - 5pm Aruba time? We will be there in January so Daylight Savings time would not come into play.

My cruises on Carnival have almost always stayed on the time of the ship's home port. Which in this case would be 1 hour behind the time in Aruba. They have even changed to or from daylight savings time to coincide with the home port.

If you were on a cruise that left from one port and ended in a different port in different time zone they will have a time change at some point during the cruise. I have also heard of changing times on the ships for ones traveling long distance like from California to Hawaii. But I don't believe that is the case for you.
