Are specialties still always casual?

Recommended Posts

I quit listening and just show up in Smart Casual. The only time I heard anything different was 2013 when the compass said the specialties followed the MDR's attire. Having already done the Allure in 2011 at the same restaurant in Smart Casual, we did it again. The dress in Chops that night was 60/40 Formal/ Smart Casual, nobody cared about what others were wearing.

I've worn dress shorts and a nice polo to every meal on our last few cruises and nobody cared.

Die-hard cruises that want to dress up, still do. It seems that the majority of the rest of us really just want to be more casual while on vacation.
