Ships Laundry

It will be our first cruise with Viking on 31st July and I just wondered whether the ship's laundry charges by piece or by laundry bag as on some other lines?

Viking has free self-serve laundry on the ship, with automatic detergent dispensers. On decks 3, 4, 5 & 6, port side, midship. Nice sofa and TV as well as iron and ironing board in each launderette.

Laundry and dry cleaning service is charged by the piece. There are no bag sales. Prices range from $1 for a pair of socks to $6 for a dress for laundry and $2 for a tie to $8.50 for a men's or women's two piece suit for dry cleaning. There is a 50% surcharge for same-day service.

Thank you for the picture and description of the laundry rooms. I really like the fact that I won't have my unmentionables hanging in the shower on my cruise in November.

I took the picture but I never used it. I thought about it but ended up using the laundry service for everything but the unmentionables (we have the hand-washing down to a science now;).)
