For us, our cruise expenses are entirely paid with gift cards. The money has long been committed to Carnival. It's part of the cost of cruising. Gone and pay it.

I always go to GS and re-allocate the distribution percentages. I switch the MDR and housekeeping percentages as I don't go to the MDR very often - maybe once during the whole cruise.

 

Since you don't go to the MDR very often on the cruise, you may not be aware that those people are the same people that work the buffet at breakfast and lunch and/or will be in the MDR for breakfast/brunch.

 

I would not make the adjustment you described. :(:(
