great question. I will be cruisng during post-season baseball and I do want to watch the Cubs... Maybe next year IS THIS YEAR! Big price difference for surf vs surf and stream.

Well apparently something has been done since july August because the ping rates were in the 400's according to every post I viewed.

 

Will check back as we get further out to sea away from Shore

Something's wrong with those numbers. Ping for Liberty has been much higher.

There's no way to have ping numbers that low to the outside world - the physics won't allow it. That ping is for the connection on the ship - it's probably measuring the first network hop on the ship. You'd need to use an app with which you can choose the destination IP address to make it meaningful. The down speed is disappointing for STREAM but as long as it works, it's good enough.

As biker concluded tests may not be exactly accurate but if it works it works hundred times better than princess

Some of these numbers make no sense, I was on both the Oasis which has 03B Voom and Liberty which I assume still has the old Surf and Stream Setup. This is all in the last 45 days.

 

On Liberty with Surf+Stream I got between 0.40-2.0Kb/s DL Speed with a ping of 600-1600ms

 

On Oasis I got a blazing faster 30-90Mb/s with a ping of 50-200ms

 

Oasis was literally over 80-100x faster there just wasn't a comparison.

I agree that the numbers are very odd. The numbers you posted are what others have been reporting, though I believe they have throttled the Oasis bandwidth recently.
