Stateroom question with toddler

Take the mattress and put it on the floor...nowhere to fall! Tell the kid it's "adventure sleeping"..they will love it!

We didn't move the mattress but brought a sleeping bag and used the extra blankets in the room. Kids loved it.

We have found that inflatable pool noodles are the best bet for our trips. They pack very small, come in packs of 4-6 (allows for taking a few to the beach too), and the kids never fall over them. I just tuck them under the fitted sheet or tuck a sheet around them. Weirdly enough, they don't really move.

We used to travel with Shrunks travel toddler beds, but after three trips have retired them other than for camping as our twins just can't get comfortable in them...making for long nights!
