Just4funn Posted October 15, 2016 #3 Share Posted October 15, 2016 Looking for any info on December 31 sailing from Honolulu. Can't find a Roll Call or anything. What about upgrades?
pe4all Posted October 16, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 16, 2016 (edited) Looking for any info on December 31 sailing from Honolulu. Can't find a Roll Call or anything. What about upgrades? We are on the roll call for the sailing right before yours. (12/25) For some reason, my roll call (which I started) is also "dead!" We did a NYE cruise on Getaway last year, and they gave out free champagne, noisemakers, hats. They had a balloon drop in the atrium, and a deck party in Spice h20. We watched the ball drop from Times Square on the big screen in the atrium. Edited October 16, 2016 by pe4all
FranknBeans Posted October 16, 2016 #5 Share Posted October 16, 2016 Having done this cruise a few times my thought on lack on interest in M&G is first it's not a cruise where you have a lot of time to do the extra's such as pub/cabin crawl as this cruise is very port intensive with early start to long days. It's also not uncommon to find bars on board close earlier than norm, due to everyone hitting the sack early. The ports are easily done on your own by renting a car or small van. Or by using off ship shore excursion companies that come highly recommend on the Hawaii board such as Roberts and others. As for upgrades make a call about 2 weeks in advance in the meantime keep an eye on what's available and have some sort of price in mind when you make the call. cruisewkid Posted October 16, 2016 #6 Share Posted October 16, 2016 We are also on the 12/31 sailing. I had been watching for a roll call too. Not for M&G so much as to see if anybody else will be onboard with a teen! Our 15 year old daughter will be with us. I too an watching for an upsell! This is our first NCL, have done a couple Disney, a couple Princess, a couple Carnival, and 10+ RCCL. Have been looking at NCL prices/itineraries for a couple years, and now with (hopefully!) a lava flow - seemed like a good time to try it. I was kind of shocked at the jump in price on POA from balcony to the "suites".
