A very special day you know

Not because it could rain or snow

 

It's the first day of the month that starts it all

It could be a day that some of us might have a sweet fall

 

I start it off today.. really started yesterday

Not my fault.. what can I say

 

Today is my HAPPY BIRTHDAY.. just won't say what year

Know others on this board have birthdays this month that are near

 

So wishing all the birthday people a GREAT day on your special date

Or start early like me if you can't wait

 

Hope everyone had a good week and lost a pound or two

This is the Holiday weekend.. you have something to do

 

So between birthdays and a three day holiday lets not gain

If we do have to lose same pounds again.. that's a pain

Have fun on your birthday - eat a (small) piece of cake!

 

As far as age is concerned, you know the expression age is just a number? It's true to a degree. While I'd love to be 10 years younger there's a photo of myself prominently displayed in the house that shows a younger me, smartly dressed in a suit and tie, but with a square, puffy face. I was 240 pounds at that point and I hope never to go there again.

 

This morning I was (ta da) back to 190, 2 pounds less than last week. Next stop (I hope), the 180's!

Hello,

 

Belle, Happy Birthday. I hope it's a wonderful day.

 

My birthday is this Sunday, 9/4. Always means dinner and lunches out.

 

I lost 1 lb. I think that is now all the weight I gained on our vacation in April. So quick to come on, so long to get off........

 

Cruise time for me next week but I'll be around to weigh in next Thursday.

 

Cruiserman, great loss. You've done so well. Congrats.

1lb off this week. But expect to gain it soon as I'm off on Celebrity Eclipse on Saturday! Will be working hard when I return to get fit though as my big plan for next year when I hit the big 5 0 is to climb mount Etna

Hey, everyone...I'm new(ish), too! (I posted once a few months ago, but now that we have an actual cruise BOOKED, I have more direction.) I'm doing the Dietbet thing where you pay money, commit to losing 4% of your weight in four weeks and get a percentage of the community pot if you make it. I just want to keep banging out one after another for many, many months! Okay...back to getting the Middle School kid ready for school next week.

Everyone out and about or home like me?

 

Been out last three days so will stay home

this three day holiday and stay out of the traffic.

 

Hope everyone is doing good.

 

Come in and talk if home, missing some of you

this week..shootr, Rose and others.

 

Come in even if gaining or not in mood to diet

by coming in just might keep you staying the same

or not gaining much.

 

Gained a little with my birthday cakes and food,

to get it off plus more. My body fighting me or is it my mind?

No vacation for me--we have a buyer for our house (yaaaaaaaaay!) and I'm going through all the crap in the basement. I've been tracking my food this week--which I never do for long--and I think it's really helping. Just reinforcing things that I already know...mainly, that if I eat the calories that I burn, but no more, on a "bad" day that I'll continue to lose weight consistently. Duh!!!

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend.

 

I went for an hour long walk around my neighborhood today. We are 2 blocks from a regional park, it's so nice walking there.

 

Hubby and I went to a Chinese buffet last night. Had crab legs, shrimp, sushi. Hoping I didn't gain......

Cruiserman.. Where do you want to move to? Hope when

ready to sell it goes fast.

 

Diana.. Hope you had a nice walk in the park. Nice to have

a big park close. Hope no gain from Chinese food, sometimes

salty.

 

Hoping now that summer is over that friends will start coming

back in here. And more new friends will come in.

Belle--we're staying in the same town...did a big renovation on an old house and we've already moved into it. But left a lot of things in the basement and shed of the old house. Sigh.

 

Daughter's first day of school is tomorrow (seventh grade) so MUCH to do here. And I ate everything in the house yesterday, sadly. Today will be better.

I'm like a broken record, miserable fails all weekend - again.

 

Got 55 miles on the bike over the weekend, couple sessions on the elliptical, swimming with and chasing the grandkids all weekend, and still weighed in at 199 this morning.

 

So, I have 10 weeks before my daughter in laws wedding - so if that doesn't snap me into discipline I don't know of what will.

 

Glad to hear others are doing well and at least checking in regularly - I'll try do do the same.

Red. That sounds like a lot of work but I bet it's

beautiful. Did get the other cleaned out and sold this weekend.

 

shootr.. Good to see you back. Don't leave us. WE all

know how hard it is to eat right at times (or all the time)

You sure do a lot of exercise don't know how you do it

Should lose some weight with that.

 

I'm trying to write during the week to keep me remembering

that I need to eat better and try to get exercise.

 

If we all write during the week gives us something to

read and get ideas. Like shootr doing all that exercise,

then why can't I do a little.

 

I have to do something, I use to be able to lose pretty

good now I just stay the same. To you find it harder to lose

now for some reason? Why because..........We're

Older, working more, can't give up sweets or carbs, depressed, family?
