The "Weekend of Upgrades" is off to a good start. United upgraded me on both flight segments.

Headed south after our climb-out from YYZ. Nice shot of downtown Toronto. At 1815' 5", the CN Tower, completed in 1976, is still the tallest tower in the Western Hemisphere. Next to it is Rogers Centre, home of the Toronto Blue Jays (who better get their act together soon!)

Tip for newbies: avoid the overcrowded Horizon Court on embarkation day and have a relaxing lunch served to you in the Da Vinci Dining Room.

Thanks! It's just my iPhone 6. Look for a quality increase after this weekend with the better cameras in my iPhone 7 that got delivered at home AFTER I left for these cruises...

Love the picture of the boarding area and the huge yellow suitcase in the front left. Yep. That's about what my wife would pack for a one day cruise. That sad little yellow suitcase next to it would be mine!

 

"Second lunch". Love it!! On a cruise ship you can have breakfast, brunch, lunch, linner, (the meal between lunch and dinner), early bird dinner, a late dinner, and then a European style dinner at around 10:00 or so. Gotta love it!

Well, Princess... the Platinum/Elite reception was a huge disappointment. 5:20, and all the food is gone. They keep saying there will be more, but it's been 15 minutes, and there's nothing...
