Mardi Gras World

Is it possible to walk from the cruise terminal to Mardi Gras World? It looks like a straight shot but google maps says the road is "restricted".

There does appear to be a sidewalk from the terminal to the store but there are also streetcar stops in front of both. Personally I'd take the street car to avoid walking through all the traffic.

The streetcar stops at Julia Street, and won't help you.

 

Mardi Gras World is on Port Of New Orleans Blvd., the same street as the terminal, but is restricted to vehicular traffic. No sidewalks.

 

The walk would be about a mile, not bad as long as the weather cooperates. From the terminal, walk down Julia Street to Convention Center Blvd. and take a left. Take another left at Henderson Street and you will see the entrance.

Mardi Gras world also offers free shuttle rides from many major hotels. They have a map on their website and are usually willing to answer questions if you call about pickup times.

I've seen people walking to MG World as we were arriving at the pier.
