gapearl Posted November 28, 2016 Author #276 Share Posted November 28, 2016 Stop in here for anything you might need- snacks, drinks, toiletries, over the counter meds, souvenirs, etc. All of the license plates i saw looked like this. This was the only one I saw with Bermuda on it.

gapearl Posted November 28, 2016 Author #280 Share Posted November 28, 2016 After being out for an hour my mom was ready to get back on the ship. I told her we could go check out the Bermuda National Museum but she wasn’t interested. Since we were done so early, I changed into my swimsuit so I could head over to Snorkel Park Beach. There’s supposed to be a $5 entry fee, but there was no one collecting money at the door. I could have taken a beach chair too and no one would have ever noticed. The entrance to Snorkel Park Beach is through the arch here.

gapearl Posted November 28, 2016 Author #283 Share Posted November 28, 2016 The beach was pretty terrible. I knew it was a man made beach but dang, it was among the worst I’ve ever visited. The “beach” was not much more than a hard area of rock covered with a thin layer of sand. I was quite uncomfortable when I laid out my towel and tried to relax. I only stayed here for an hour. gapearl Posted November 28, 2016 Author #284 Share Posted November 28, 2016 Even more from around the port area. That's a bit expensive, don't you think? You can see the British influences around town.

gapearl Posted November 28, 2016 Author #286 Share Posted November 28, 2016 The line wasn't too bad when I made it back. It did get longer as we got closer to sailaway time. A little friend was in my cabin to welcome me back aboard.
gapearl Posted November 28, 2016 Author #287 Share Posted November 28, 2016 After dropping off my beach bag and changing clothes, I headed to the lido for some food cause I was hungry! There's always a large assortment of desserts, but they're usually hit or miss as far as which ones are good or not.
gapearl Posted November 28, 2016 Author #288 Share Posted November 28, 2016 More buffet options. My lunch....yummy. There's a beverage cart that circulates the buffet area so you don't have to get up to refill your drink.
gapearl Posted November 28, 2016 Author #289 Share Posted November 28, 2016 I went out on my balcony for the best views of us pulling away from port. These guys were busy touching up paint. Undoing the ropes. Bye y'all! No runners!

gapearl Posted November 28, 2016 Author #294 Share Posted November 28, 2016 My new Bebe dress. I walked around the ship for a bit and met up with Sean in the atrium where the Caribbean duo Island Fever was playing some Latin music. They started playing some salsa, and let me tell you there’s no worse feeling than when you’re a serious salsera such as myself and wanting to dance but you have no one to dance with. There’s a place here locally that has a live salsa band on the weekends, but it attracts the tourist crowd and not the local dancer crowd so when a friend and I sometimes go there to dance, all eyes are watching us and our moves. That definitely could have happened here if I had a partner and would have been fun haha. Luckily for me, I went on a Latin dance cruise just weeks after returning from the Pride and never had to worry about not having a dance partner lol. I look forward to hanging out in the Havana Lounge with the live Latin music on the Vista and hope that out of 4,000 other guests, maybe just maybe there will be just one person that also knows how to salsa. Any of my CC Facebook friends that have seen videos of me dancing will tell you I can move. Sean and I with the Island Fever. Selena’s Bidi Bidi Bom Bom was stuck in my head all night thanks to them lol. Getting a little side tracked here, I found a place to go salsa and bachata dancing on Thursday night in Bermuda before the cruise. Remember we were originally due to stay Thursday night in port prior to the itinerary change for Tropical Storm Karl. I reached out to the organizers of this event on Facebook and they were looking forward to having me, but I had to sadly send them a message saying I wouldn’t make it since we were departing early. Fast forward a few weeks later, I coincidentally happened to make contact with them again through my dance cruise attendee FB group and got to hang out with them quite a bit on that one. They said they cancelled dancing this night (pretty much all the nightlife on the island was cancelled) as everyone was making storm preparations, so as bummed as I was about leaving port on Thursday and not Friday, it didn’t matter in the end. Anyways, Sean went somewhere and there wasn’t much of anything to do tonight, no shows or anything. I was all dressed up with no place to go! There was another deck party but all the others were poorly attended so I didn’t bother. Tonight was the season premiere of one of my favorite shows, How To Get Away With Murder, so I was back in my room snuggled up in my robe and in front of the tv by 11 pm. gapearl Posted November 28, 2016 Author #295 Share Posted November 28, 2016 Cruise Day 6- Sea Day By going to bed so early the night before, I was up at 6 am, forced myself back to sleep and woke again at 9 am. I made it to the gym around 10 am and spent an hour on the treadmill before spending some time in the sauna. Then it was a shower and lunch, watching The Young & The Restless, and I dozed off looking at the water. Man, I got a lot of good sleep this cruise lol. I can see how people with balconies can stay holed up in their cabins all day. Looking out at the water is so calming and relaxing. Eventually I was up again and walked the ship to take some more pictures. The Alchemy Bar.
