Hi crusinkelsey, thanks for your kind words. The times I went on the skyride the lines were quite short. The longest wait was on a sea day and it was only about 15mins. Enjoy your cruise in January. :)

So just before 10am we got off the ship and met S&C and the 4 of us got a taxi to "Starbeach". This is one of the places Kieron had researched extensively on the web and found this to be a perfect location to go to in Crete. I wanted a beach location and kieron would have the slides and bars to keep him happy.

 

 

 

It took 35mins in the taxi and cost 20euro each way...

Starbeach is a huge complex of accommodation, bars, restaurants, water slides, beaches and pools.

My brother went Paragliding there for 35 euro...

The water was crystal clear and warm as well. I swam in it for a good hour or more ...

There was lots of private little coves ..

 

 

We settled on the long beach in the distance....

It was very clean and had loads of places to sunbathe...

Hi lele100, they do the shows twice each evening. Doors open at 7 + 9pm, with the shows starting at 7.30 + 9.30pm. Each show lasts about 45 mins.

As you can tell I really liked my day in Crete. It was a very good value day out. It was free entry to Starbeach and only 3 euro for sunbed and umbrella. Also the food and drink prices were reasonable as well.

 

We got back at about 5pm, then got ready for dinner. We went to the Red Frog pub for a pre dinner cocktail, I had a Raspberry mojito ...

 

 

As I have been lacking I thought I would get a few pics of the food we ate tonight. My brother had the fire roasted chicken...

 

 

I had the smoked salmon as I always do on a cruise ...

 

 

Next I had the butter lettuce with blue cheese ...

 

 

For my main I had the lamb leg ...

 

 

My brother had the glazed ham ...

For dessert I had the pie of the day which was a peanut butter pie with butter pecan ice cream, Yum Yum ...

 

 

I even remembered the menu ...

 

 

 

 

 

After dinner I went to check out the "80s rock and glow party" up on the pool deck ...

As you can see I am afraid it was not well attended...

 

 

I thought I would go to the room and see what towel animal I had this evening ...

 

 

 

 

I think I then went to the piano bar to have a last drink with my brother before going to bed. The next day we were in Rhodes.

 

Coming up tomorrow my day in Rhodes. :)

I then went to the buffet for breakfast. They serve English bacon on the buffet which was good for a bit of variety. One really good thing that they did at breakfast was to come round with a trolley which had fresh baked warm blueberry muffins on...

 

 

We were not far from the airport ...
