SilvertoGold Posted November 17, 2016 #26 Share Posted November 17, 2016 We only had coffee and choc. pastry. They have HAL reg coffee choices and something called Amsterdam drip. I think snacks like bitterballen did have a charge. You get a Dutch cookie with the coffee. The staff is Dutch, young and very personable. There were flowers on the tables in Dutch themed vases. We were able to buy the vases-$17.50-2 for $30. There is a quiet area along with windows nearby with a blue Dutch theme. The Dutch cafe gets an A+ from me. This sounds very nice. Really hope HAL shoehorns this into the fleet. I though perhaps the Explorations Cafe on the S and R class would convert tho this. Would think this would be a winner! SilvertoGold Posted November 17, 2016 #27 Share Posted November 17, 2016 Alcohol, coffees, and some snacks have a charge, but pea soup, sandwiches, crepes, etc are all free. Most times when we walked by it seemed very busy. The Explorations Cafe was never busy whenever we were there. Thanks. Sounds as if this would work well for lunch! jtl513 Posted November 18, 2016 #30 Share Posted November 18, 2016 Can you use a soda card at the Dutch Cafe? IIRC they don't have sodas ... just beer, coffees, tea, and water ... but I could be mistaken. ;) I wish I had thought to take a pic of the menu. Me, too! But your info about the ship, food and cabins, has been helpful and appreciated.
fusion927 Posted November 19, 2016 #32 Share Posted November 19, 2016 Can you use a soda card at the Dutch Cafe? They do have a soda gun, and cans. The Freestyle package works fine there. Both cards with the dot and if you bring the cup. Mark
