Ultimate Dining Plan + Sushi on 5 (and other upcharges)

Hello all :)

 

We will be on the Reflection in December and plan to buy the UDP. How does that work with a restaurant like Sushi on 5 with ala carte pricing?

 

Also, there seem to be a few upcharge food items like gelato (and what else I don't even know) but do we pay the upcharge or are those things included?

Gelato is not included in any dining package. It is extra $. The restaurants

are the only thing included. I bought a package a few years ago but

there was no sushi restaurant at that time. Sorry I can't answer that

one.

S5 was included on the recent TA.

 

You are allowed to order whatever you wish and only pay for drinks that are not included in package.

There have been mixed reports on other threads about whether the sushi is included-- seems to vary by ship

That benefit is only for cruises booked prior to 2016, so it will go away soon. no experience on that one for Sushi on Five.

 

It could be different depending on the ship, but maybe just a misunderstanding by some of ship's staff?

Just came off of Reflection yesterday and was the first time that we purchased the UDP. Oh heavens, we've now raised the bar!! [emoji12] Yes, Son5 is definitely included--and delicious! We went 3 times.

On Summit currently; sushi on 5 is included as a penthouse and royal suite perk. Had a nice mid afternoon snack there yesterday and heading back for lunch today.
