Easiest way to bring soda onboard

There are some in our group that love Red Bull etc. Will they be allowed to bring that drink on at embarkation?

 

Any non-alcoholic drink in cans or cartons of 12oz or less in a quantity of 12 or less per person is allowable.

The sodas have to be with your carry-ons, not your checked luggage. And at some ports, they do open your 12 can cartons to ensure none of the cans have been tampered with. So you might bring some duct tape to tape them close again, or you might be dropping cans as you walk around the ship :-)

This is exactly what happened in Galveston. Our friends had their carton opened & they had to juggle it a bit to keep it intact until they could get on board. They should at least give you a bag if they're gonna tear up the box.
