blizzardboy Posted December 2, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 2, 2016 Just entered Europe - Med, Sept 16, 2018 on HAL site. Is the 14-day European River Explorer a new itinerary? No map yet, but ports, dates, and pricing are there. They must expect it to be popular with the prices on a NS!
Rare kazu Posted December 2, 2016 #2 Share Posted December 2, 2016 Just entered Europe - Med, Sept 16, 2018 on HAL site. Is the 14-day European River Explorer a new itinerary? No map yet, but ports, dates, and pricing are there. They must expect it to be popular with the prices on a NS! The Prinsendam cruise? Prinsendam tends to be pricey. Smaller ship so it's more to run and she has great itineraries :) She's quite capable of doing those rivers, the Kiel Canal and the river in Spain to Seville (if they clean out the silt). I know she has done those rivers before so not sure if this is a new itinerary but I don't recall as Rouen being a port before so I think it is a new itinerary. Prinsendam has the best itineraries. :)
SilvertoGold Posted December 2, 2016 #3 Share Posted December 2, 2016 The itinerary for this is really interesting and different from the norm, even for the Prinsendam. I would go with the 28 day collector. Anything unusual on HAL, which this is, will be priced high for the first few years.
Rare kazu Posted December 2, 2016 #4 Share Posted December 2, 2016 (edited) Thanks OP for posting this as I didn't realize the P'dam itineraries were out for 2018. Very intrigued with the May 28 day Azores and Celtic collector ;). Thanks again for the heads up :) Itinerary is indeed different from 2017. Love that they are making changes :) Edited December 2, 2016 by kazu
keikobad Posted December 3, 2016 #5 Share Posted December 3, 2016 Thanks for mentioning the Europe Prinsendam itineraries. We like the baltic cruise in august with the day crossing of the kiel canal. I grew up very close to the kanal and would love to cruise it once. The iceland cruise from amsterdam looks also very good. I like the new itineraries a lot. But 4.300€ for the inside category is a tough price for a 14d cruise. We will see. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

Rare kazu Posted December 3, 2016 #7 Share Posted December 3, 2016 Thanks OP for asking. You alerted us to 2018 openings on the Prinsendam. suggest that anyone that is a P'dam lover of new itineraries log in. We had a significant difference in price and our TA confirmed it. Also, there were prepaid grats, etc. No different pricing if you passed so we will see what happens as time goes by. Love the May 5th itinerary for 28 days and love the P'dam. A long ways away but something to look forward to.
