Splendor leaving Carnival

So from what I've been told, it looks like the Splendor is going to be leaving the Carnival fleet in late 2019, and going to P&O Australia. The 3rd Vista class that was scheduled for that fleet will come to Carnival instead.

 

It makes sense, the Splendor has always been a bit different then the rest of the fleet. Clearly they had plans for it to go somewhere eventually, as they did not do any of the 2.0 upgrades when it was dry-docked last year.

 

As someone who has sailed Carnival, I like it. I was not really fond of the Splendor when I sailed her, granted there were some extenuating circumstances with that cruise.

We love the Splendor and were so happy when we found out it was coming back to Long beach and now this. Hope we get something nice to replace it.

I love that ship too! After sailing on her 8/13/16 she has a special place in my heart. It's sad that a lot of cruisers don't like the Splendor but she's really a great ship that's underrated and unique to Carnivals fleet.
