Around 11:30 a.m. we trekked back to the ship because DH was hungry. He wanted to go in the hot tub before lunch, but they were all occupied. DH had a Guy's burger and I had a light lunch of potato salad, cheese and dessert, of course, which was two chocolate cake pops and two cookies. DH went to check the menu ahead of me. I went to check a few minutes later, but discovered they hadn't posted it yet. We hung out in the room for a bit and then went to Sports Square.

We played pool and checkers, both of which DH won. After that, we went to the Red Frog Pub to play fooseball and I WON! We then got ice cream and sat on Serenity, but that didn't last long because it was sprinkling.

We went down to our "balcony" for a bit and then back to the room.

We decided to eat on Lido that night. After that, we split up and I went to the Latin Nights show (mediocre) while DH went to the sports bar to watch the football game.

 

After the show, I tried looking for the Grand Turk photo, but couldn't find it. Then I ran into DH. We went up to the Sports Square to get him a couple of Cokes from the vending machine (same price, but no tip). It was super windy (but warm) an DH joked that he never had to buy a Coke in a hurricane. :D It was hard to get the dollars in with all the wind.

 

DH got pizza and I grabbed some cookie for us and we went back to the room. I ran up to the candy shop after hanging out in the room for a bit because I had a craving for M&Ms.

The ship was rocking that morning on the way to San Juan. I showered and got breakfast and then hung out in the room. DH and I went to the upper decks to watch the ship's arrival in San Juan. We got lunch and then headed off the ship.

We walked to Fort San Cristobal. Because it was Martin Luther King Jr. Day, admission was free! (normally $5).

I rediscovered my claustrophobia walking through this tunnel. I couldn't see light at the other side, it was small and had people in it and I freaked out a little. DH asked if I was okay and I said yes, just hurry!

After exploring the fort, we wandered the streets. I bought earrings from a local lady made of recycled magazines. We saw gatos and it made me miss my kitties! The weather was perfect. 77 degrees and a light breeze. We popped into Walgreens and DH got aloe because his legs got burnt on the beach the other day, as well as a can of Pringles and a magnet with a San Juan tree frog on it. When we got back to the ship, we couldn't find the magnet even though we paid for it.

DH went to Guy's burgers for supper since he didn't have one at lunch and I got a room service turkey sandwich. I took a shower and then went to Lido for dessert and got a slice of chocolate fudge cake. I found DH on Serenity and we hung out for a bit. We watched a little bit of sailaway from our "balcony."

I always just amazes me how some people are so crafty and can do such magical things!! Definitely, I could never do these things. No talent me :-(

Here's a picture of the earrings. The recycled magazine ones are on the left. So beautiful! The whale earrings I got in Freeport and the anchor and palm tree earrings I got in Nassua. The necklace I bought onboard the ship.

I started with using Google photos at the beginning, but that didn't seem to work, so then I switched to FB and that seems to be working better for people. Let me know if you really want to see a photo you missed and I can get the FB version. I don't think there is a way of going back to edit, unfortunately.

I love all the jewelry! Very nice. That amazes me about the recycled magazine. When I saw them, I started thinking about what shirts and outfits I own and what I could match them up with! Lol, typical woman, I am.

 

I will be in San Juan in about a month and maybe I could find those earrings also. Can you tell me where, and I will try to find them. We are signed up with friends to do the carnival excursion "rum mixology and salsa dancing" , but we will probably also be doing some walking around.

 

Our ports are following yours so far: Grand Turk (on my birthday), then San Juan...after that we go to St Kitts and lastly St. Maarten. Loving seeing your pictures!!!
