lovestocruise19 Posted January 27, 2017 Author #76 Share Posted January 27, 2017 I Made made us a napkin swan. After the Love and Marriage Show, we bought photos and then I went back to my room to hang out with DH. DH and I both went up to Lido for late night snacks of cookies, brownies and chips. lovestocruise19 Posted January 28, 2017 Author #77 Share Posted January 28, 2017 (edited) I got up at 9 a.m., showered and had a bagel and cream cheese for breakfast. We got off the ship at 11 a.m. for our Discover Atlantis tour. It was raining off and on and the wind was whipping the rain. It did clear up by the time we boarded the van for Atlantis. We had to wait a little while for the van because there was a parade going by. Our tour guide at Atlantis was Alexander. He was a really good guide-engaging and funny. We saw some sculptures made of glass and then went into The Dig, which was an aquarium. It was a little crowded in there so I didn't get to take very many pictures. lovestocruise19 Posted January 28, 2017 Author #85 Share Posted January 28, 2017 At the end, you could go back on your own or go in the underground tube to see the sharks, but we didn't want to so we caught the van back to port. Atlantis is quite the resort. As far as the tour goes, I think $70 per person was a little overpriced for what it was. I've been in much better aquariums. lovestocruise19 Posted January 28, 2017 Author #86 Share Posted January 28, 2017 Back on board, DH grabbed a Guy's burger and went back to the room to eat. I got a deli sandwich, but even though I asked for cheese, I didn't get any on it. I ate alone, but Mom spotted me so I ate dessert with Mom and Dad. Mom and I checked out the menu for supper. After that, I went back to the room for my camera and went back up to take pictures of the Sports Square area. Dad was up there, so we chatted for a bit. lovestocruise19 Posted January 28, 2017 Author #87 Share Posted January 28, 2017 I then went back to the room and grabbed my Kindle to read on my "balcony," but it was too chilly in the shade with the wind. I went up to check out sailaway on Deck 10. It was windy during sailaway, but I finally found a good spot. Dad found me and we watched the ship go past the lighthouse. lovestocruise19 Posted January 28, 2017 Author #91 Share Posted January 28, 2017 For supper I had marinated chicken tender appetizer which was marinated in a sweet chili sauce and I LOVED it! I also had the chicken milanese, a lemon breaded chicken, which tasted better than it looked. For dessert I had popcorn pot de creme. I was looking forward to this new dessert, but it was AWFUL. Hands down the worst dessert I've ever had. Lol! I know some people really love it, but I didn't like it at all. The first bite I got was of the pure butter on top. The creme had a gelatinous consistency. I tried the popcorn thinking that THAT can't be bad. WRONG! I expected it to be crunchy (um, hello, popcorn?), but it was soggy. After that DH and I went to Lido and I got a piece of chocolate cake. SOOO GOOD!
lovestocruise19 Posted January 28, 2017 Author #92 Share Posted January 28, 2017 (edited) They have pie a lot on the new menu. So, if you like pie, you're in luck. I don't like fruit pies, but DH does. You do have to ask what type of pie it is each night. I know they had blueberry, cherry, strawberry rhubarb and an apple peach. Buttered popcorn pot de GROSS! I Made made us a rose napkin that night: Thank God for Lido chocolate cake! Edited January 28, 2017 by lovestocruise19
lovestocruise19 Posted January 28, 2017 Author #93 Share Posted January 28, 2017 DH and I watched a Tony Esposito comedy show. The bar waiters never came to me during the show, so after we went to the lobby bar where I got a mocha chocolate getaway. We checked out the deck party for a few minutes and then headed back to the room.

terri-eddie Posted January 28, 2017 #96 Share Posted January 28, 2017 Anyone know what these are? My Dad and I were trying to figure it out: We have seen those cylindrical things outside ports in Hawaii too...we think they're concrete castings to make an artifical breakwater. lovestocruise19 Posted January 28, 2017 Author #98 Share Posted January 28, 2017 Mom and Dad had a Garden of the Groves tour in Freeport, but DH and I didn't have any plans. Mom called around 8 a.m. and said there was something sweet and at first I thought she meant in Freeport, but she meant up at Lido. I guessed the towel animal invasion and I was right! A little while later I went up and had breakfast.
klaner22 Posted January 28, 2017 #99 Share Posted January 28, 2017 In Nasau did you book Atlantis through the cruise line or just go on your own. I was wondering if you can just go on your own and explore or is there a charge?
