Escape Balcony 12270.. Any opinions?

Hello,

We booked a cruise on the NCL Escape in March. Our cabin is balcony room 12270.

Does anyone have an opinion of this room? Is there an unobstructed view from the balcony? There are just two of us, so we are not worried about the size of the room. What is more important to us is enjoying the view from our balcony.

We also are considering bidding on an upgrade, so any input and feedback would help.

This will be my 3rd time sailing NCL, having previously been on the Dawn and the Getaway. :)

The only issue with the balcony would be that your view looking aft would be blocked by the balcony of 12272 which bumps out and looking forward, your view would be blocked by the balcony of 12254 which also bumps out. Looking directly out, the view is fine from deck 12.

You're also very close to the elevator (good or bad depending on your opinion).

Thank you all for the great input. I appreciate your help!

I did notice cabin 12272 sticks out a bit, but as long as we can see the water below us, and the sea in front of us, we will be happy!😀

Our travel agent advised this room based on the location near the elevators, so that is a plus.👍

  • 2 weeks later...

4 days until the cruise!😀

We bid on a Haven room, and also on a mini suite. The cruise looks sold out, but we will find out for sure on Thursday.

Either way, we will have a great time.

Great location near the elevators. You are right beside the bump out, so you won't be able to have an aft view if you look that direction. You will be able to see down, and you will be able to see forward. The cabin right beside yours will have a larger balcony than yours, since it sits on the angle.
