Luggage on Norwegian

Do we need to check out luggage or can we just carry on? My husband and I will each have one piece of luggage. My suitcase is 24" and his is 30".

You don't need to check any luggage if you don't want to, but remember- you will be carting it around with you until your cabin is ready around 1 pm

You will have to go through security before you check in, and your carry on luggage must be able to fit through a scanner the same size as those at the airport. It is possible that your suitcase will fit but I think the 30" will be a no go. EM

We always check in our suitcases. We just keep our valuables and important documents with us.

That way we can immediately enjoy the ship after boarding without having to carry many things around.

if your suitcase is larger than airline carryon, yes you will have to leave it with the porters to be delivered to your room. The security machines cannot accommodate the larger bags for screening.

There's no reason not to check your luggage. When you get to the port the porters will come and grab it and then you're done. It'll be delivered to your room later that day. If you insist and can get it through the scanner you can carry on but your rooms won't be ready until 1 or later so unless you board in the afternoon you'll be stuck carrying it around with you.
