What sort of things can you use Onboard Credit for?

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone,

What sort of things do people use their onboard credit for?

We are new to cruising and are travelling on Brilliance in July- Med-Venice tour.

Thanks so much for your help.

Wonderful cruise itinerary!

Everything you purchase onboard is charged to your account. The onboard credit will just reduce your balance. Onboard charges: shop purchases, BINGO cards, spa treatments, drinks (unless you purchase package, before leaving), specialty dining, gratuities, etc.

on the last day, when we saw how much credit was still had. . .we traded them in for Scratch Off cards at the Casino :)

didn't really "win" but got a lot of enjoyment out of sitting at the casino bar for an hour scratching tickets.

It's best to book your excursions for a Med cruise, prior to leaving home. You will find a lot of recommended private tour companies in the "Ports of Call forum". You will save money and enjoy a more relaxing tour by using a private tour company. These companies are well aware of the amount of time you have on land and will get you back to the ship on time.

If you don't know how to find Ports of Call Forum - At the bottom of this page under "Quick Reply" you will see "Forum Jump" click arrow and go to "Ports of Call" and choose Europe, Mediterranean - Eastern & Western

Then choose Italy Ports. You will find lots of information on your ports. I found them very handy for my Med cruise and enjoyed all my private tours.

To ride on OPs coat tails- is the OBC amount per room or per person? DH and I are booked in a room together and when I log in it shows my credit- I'm guessing it's for both of us combined?

OBC is usually per stateroom.
