Thanks, everyone. We got our assignment last night for our March 25 sailing.

We were a guarantee Neptune Suite on the Eurodam and very surprisingly got a good location on deck 7 near the lounge.

Nice news, don't know joe we ended up in such a good spot.

That's good news. We'll see on the Eurodam!!!!

I too am wondering about when I'll get my cabin assignment. I'm sailing on the Koningsdam in five days and I still see Guar on all the docs. What makes my situation a little different is I'm meeting a buddy on the ship and he's doing the twenty-one days while I'm I'm only going for ten. We booked together (we are both straight, not that that matters) and neither one of us was charged a single supplement. He got his cabin at booking while my docs don't even say Fort Lauderdale as the port of departure. we have different booking numbers also. I have a feeling that when the computers figure it out I'll be put in his room, but it would be nice to get a cabin of my own:D.

Please let us know what happens! (yn)

I guess I'll find out when I get to the ship tomorrow. The HAL website has been down since yesterday afternoon and I'm flying in a few hours, probably won't have internet access at the little hotel in FLL. Good thing I printed a boarding pass that has Guarantee on it before the sight went down.

We are still waiting, but since we booked the $99 per person Casino Special, I expect to be in the bowels of the ship!

Still waiting for our cabin on Eurodam, April 1 - 18 days to sailing!

Though I noticed yesterday afternoon all of the balcony cabins are not available if you click through on the website. I am wondering if they are up selling the inside / ocean view cabins now, and then we will get what's left. Hopefully soon! :)

Just got our assignment around 4:00 p.m. We booked a GUAR inside and usually get an M or N category. One year DH and I got a K category. This time we are I 4072 which is all by it's lonesome on the Upper Promenade deck. Don't know what the difference is, but there aren't all that many "I" categories from what I can see........

We booked a guaranteed Oceanview (obstructed)… Got an upsell offer of $159 each to go to veranda and $59 each to go to regular Oceanview.

Thanks for the info! Were you tempted by the verandah? But maybe you will get upgraded to one for free! :)

We originally booked an aft balcony, which we love, but about 7 days ago, we upgraded ourselves to a SZ guarantee...we sail on Friday, and just got our assignment last night (to SY). Right near the elevators, and I can't believe I only have one more sleep to go! Yay!!

Booked a guarantee outside (Cat G) on Veendam's 4/5/17 Panama Canal itinerary.

Received my cabin assignment today (19 days from sailing). I am in a DD on deck 5.

The ship "sold out" earlier this week. So, it appears to me, that once a ship "sells out", HAL starts assigning "guarantees". However, if the ship does not "sell out", they wait as long as possible (even, as some have mentioned, to sail away day).

That has not been my experience. It seems that Hal does cruises is order for the most part. The last cruise I took I got assigned about 19 days out and the ship was not sold out. A few years ago I got assigned about 3 or 4 days out and the ship had been sold out for months.

Finally received my assignment 9 days out after months of checking!

Pretty happy - we booked VF Guarantee on the Eurodam, and received 8120 VE! Seems to be a great location, quite convenient to the food and bars on Lido! Especially with Explore 4, it will be an easy trip to get drinks for the balcony. I also like cabins toward the aft so it worked out perfectly! (And I have to admit, a bit relieved we didn't get a VQ with the tiny balcony!)

Just wanted to share my good news! :)
