juicyjuju Posted March 11, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 11, 2017 We are arriving in Southampton on a transatlantic on the QM2 and then taking the 11am flight to Dublin on Flybe. Flybe's website says we need to print out our boarding pass and bring it to the airport. Can you print boarding passes on the QM2?
Scottygirl1 Posted March 11, 2017 #2 Share Posted March 11, 2017 I'm pretty sure they will do that for you at the purser's office — we saw them printing out stuff for passengers on QE.
Salacia Posted March 11, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 11, 2017 "Printing and scanning You can print pages in the Library or ConneXions; a small charge per page will be added to your on board account. If you require a document to be digitally scanned, please speak to the Purser’s Desk..." copied from http://www.cunard.com/cruise-ships/queen-mary-2/

Devon Bloke Posted March 13, 2017 #5 Share Posted March 13, 2017 Thank you for your responses. Will be glad when I make it onto that plane to Dublin :) Hi juicyjuju, I fly with Flybe (a lot) here in the UK - all over the UK, to Ireland and to Paris. Don't worry too much about having a boarding card pre-printed. If you can, check-in on-line 36hrs before your flight. You can select your seat if you haven't already. You can then print off your boarding passes at Southampton. According to the Flybe website, there is a full range of check-in options at Southampton Airport: http://www.flybe.com/checkin/airport-availability.htm (I've not flown out of Southampton; Exeter in Devon is my home airport) Having flown with Flybe so much in the last few years, I would advise you that they are very strict on the size of your cabin baggage allowance. http://flybe.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8 The flight between Southampton and Dublin is usually on one of their Bombardier Dash 8 /Q-Series planes; http://www.flyradius.com/bombardier-q400/flybe-british-european They are small, but reasonably comfortable and give a smooth flight. As with your cabin baggage allowance, do make sure that you're ok for your hold (checked) luggage - terms of your ticket type. I've seen a number of people turn up for a flight and then found they were over the 20kg limit (if Flying with a "Get More" ticket.)..or even some passengers who had forgotten to add luggage when they bought a "Just Fly" ticket. (Of course if you've got an "All In" ticket well that pretty much entitles you to bring the kitchen sink too!) I hope I'm not being bit too obvious or presumptive in offering this advice With kind regards Andy (Devon Bloke)
juicyjuju Posted March 18, 2017 Author #6 Share Posted March 18, 2017 Thank you very much Andy for all the great advice. Much appreciated! I did buy 23kg of luggage each for us but I will be mindful of the cabin baggage too
Host Hattie Posted March 18, 2017 #7 Share Posted March 18, 2017 Could you use an electronic boarding pass on your phone ?
Devon Bloke Posted March 18, 2017 #8 Share Posted March 18, 2017 Could you use an electronic boarding pass on your phone ? Yes you can indeed..as with many other airlines. I don't ..and prefer to print mine off or at the airport. Sometimes, there is a problem with the pass on the phone being read by the scanner; and (as happened recently to a mate) you forget to charge your phone and when the time comes to check-in, the phone dies! Devon Bloke Posted March 18, 2017 #9 Share Posted March 18, 2017 Thank you very much Andy for all the great advice. Much appreciated! I did buy 23kg of luggage each for us but I will be mindful of the cabin baggage too You're welcome. Just wanted to clarify when you say " I did buy 23kg of luggage each for us" If you've just got one suitcase each and it is 23 kg, Flybe may well charge you for excess baggage if you haven't already purchased extra kilo allowance (as has happened to me on one occassion, when I turned up for a return flight with extra items in my hold baggage) This is what they state on their web site http://www.flybe.com/baggage/hold-baggage.htm What's included in your ticket? Just Fly: (no baggage) Get More: 1 item of hold luggage (20kg) All In: 2 items of hold luggage (up to 40kg)
