splinkaone Posted March 27, 2017 #1 Share Posted March 27, 2017 I believe I saw that the Epic has a 2 level casino that is open to the floors above, it also looked like there was a bar on a level above exposed to this open area. Am I mistaken? Also, does the cigarette smoke travel? On RCI one of my favorite bars is near the casino and on our last cruise the cigarette smoke was worse in the bar then the actual casino. We couldn't enjoy any of the activities, trivia, piano bar because it was so bad.

Smoke just travels throughout the entire area into one open area Restaurant & The Comedy Club. Most un enjoyable.
Rare KeithJenner Posted March 27, 2017 #3 Share Posted March 27, 2017 I believe I saw that the Epic has a 2 level casino Someone recently who had just come off the Getaway (or it may have been the Breakaway) stated that the Casino was on two decks. I'm not sure where all this has come from. The Casino on the Epic is on deck 6, just one level (and the Getaway is also on just one deck). The smoke does apparently drift to other levels (I can't say I've ever really noticed it myself), but the Casino itself is on just one deck. norcalnick Posted March 28, 2017 #4 Share Posted March 28, 2017 When we were on the Epic, we noticed the cigarette smoke was heavier than usual and lingered throughout the floor. We were on the Western Med. itinerary so there were a lot of Europeans on board who smoke and used the opportunity to smoke in the casino area even if they weren't playing. Zippeedee Posted March 29, 2017 #5 Share Posted March 29, 2017 There is a non-smoking area of the Epic casino that was surprisingly smoke-free on my November cruise. I spent much more time (and $) playing slots because I could breathe and not feel sick.

Our experience as well and we are both X smokers and hate the smell of smoke, Even though the casino was open, the smoking area was right in the middle and it didn't bother us one bit. I keep hearing how awful it is; guess my nose isn't like other people's and the casino was busy all the time.
