Anything that makes the Conquest special?

No! :loudcry:They should have waited at least until after my cruise is done. We get on 6 days after you get off. I agree they should have waited until after dry dock for the Conquest since it does not have a Serenity area.

If you're in an aft hot tub and children approach, ask them where their parent is......when the kids looks perplexed, tell them to read the signage which says they must be "accompanied by an adult". They sulked off when we did this on the Conquest 4/1 to 4/9 sailing. They did not return with a parent.

One of the ways to avoid the congestion caused by deck 5 photographs if you have aft dining Use the 4th deck as a detour. Walk through the lounge on the 4th deck, and enter the pass through on the right. If you take the 1st staircase up you emerge near the Taste Bar. If you take the second staircase, you come out at the elevators near the casino bar.

This is an easy way to get to the forward theater, shops, casino or sports bar from the aft MDR as it avoids the jostling and crowds taking pictures. You can do this on any Conquest Class ship.

I have equally had a 10 year old (approximate) flip me off so 50/50 shot of that technique working.

Left a message with my PVP doubt there's much he can say to me but I need to tell someone this was a bad decision with no serenity!

And an intoxed parent may come by to say "hello" as well, nothing is certain, but we took the chance anyway and it worked.

Not knocking it and I firmly believe in telling a child "No". Just saying there are some Bats**t crazy parents that have no problem screaming at their kids but as soon as someone else tells their precious little angels "no", they go off the deep end.

Although Conquest does not have a Serenity deck (yet?), it DOES have a Serenity-like area located a bit aft of midships on both sides of Deck 10 ("Panorama!"). The deck furniture is similar to Serenity-style (although I don't remember any "couples' couches"), with nice padded loungers and chairs. Although kids are allowed there, in practice I never saw any, and it's a lot quieter than the midship Lido pool area.

I also liked the Ol' Fashioned BBQ place on Conquest. We were on the first or second sailing after it was installed and it was a great free lunchtime option (Deck 10 midships above the Lido buffet). Conquest was the first ship where it was deployed.

Also look for the Pizza Pirate "Plus" menu from 11 pm to 1 am at the Pizza Pirate station, with expanded offerings including meat lasagna and sandwiches.

I am so sad. I teach all week wanted a quieter place since there is no serenity[emoji30].

I also teach and cruising is my way to rejuvenate with a little peace, quiet, and serenity. In the past, it would be so peaceful just hearing the rushing waves and getting a little nod and doze on. :p Hopefully, when the ship is dry-docked - develop an adults only area at the top of the ship along with creating areas for families on the Lido. All should have an area to enjoy themselves.

Something to be aware of is one side (usually Starboard) is a smoking area.

Yes, it's the starboard side.

There is a slight overhang on both sides, so happily if you want to escape the sun, either side can be an option.
