We did San Juan last year on Anthem. We went on the food and culture small group walking tour - booked through RCL and it was the best excursion we have done in any port by far.

Very interesting, we had a great guide. Food was great and everything ran to time.

 

It would be easy to look around old San Juan on your own but I can totally recommend that particular tour.

Sail San Juan bay..captain Ivan offers 2 hr long afternoon and sunset sails on San Juan bay..30 ft racing boat is very safe..maximum 6 passengers...sangria, beer, fresh fruit are plentiful ...he is located right @ the pier next to the small airport..about a 10 min drive from old san juan...very enjoyable sailing 100% recommended..have a great trip

Just come back from San Juan very easy to do on your own. Free trolly/hop on hop off bus around old town. Kids had great fun...personally wouldn't bother with a paid trip.

Will it be too hot to do walking tour by own in June? do you recommend snorkeling? thank you

We usually like to walk the streets visiting both forts, once we went to El Yunque rain forest which was nice.

On our recent we discovered a nice beach Escumbron, which also offers some snorkeling.
