Lifeguards on Freedom

Just off the freedom last Sunday and it was amazing.

Just a quick note to mention how excellent theses guys are from 7am to after 11 pm they kept vigilant. My daughter is a great swimmer so I seldom worry about her but always watch her incase she slips etc etc however it was so relaxing to know she was always in safe hands.

They really do a great job.

I'm curious what happens after 11 pm. Do they close all the pools, or are there just no lifeguards at them? We often enjoy late-night swims, so I would hope they don't close all the pools.

Not sure can only comment till 11 after that we were in our cabin. I know for sure one pool was closed I not sure about the other one.

When a ship gets the lifeguards, the pools are closed when the lifeguards are off duty. Only the hot tubs would be open 24 hours.

The lifeguards told us they have to be on duty unless there is a net over the pool.

I am on the last day of a 14 day B2B on Harmony, and have also noticed that they now have lifeguards at the pools.

Having been on Anthem last year when the young child drowned, I am glad to see that lifeguards have been added.

Really? I've always seen that the hot tubs had nets around them so passengers cannot get in after 11pm. Something new?

All I know is that the lifeguards are responsible for the pools, but not the hot tubs. So if the hot tubs are being closed, that's the hotel side doing it, nothing to do with the lifeguards.
