Reflection - Best wifi Phone Apps?

Sailing soon on the Reflection with an internet package. We have iPhones so we can use Facetime Audio and iMessage among ourselves. What are the best non-Apple wifi apps to use? Viber and Whatsapp have been recommended. Any others?

To stay in touch on the ship with people we have matched up with for excursions. We've got our Travel Pass pkgs with Verizon for calling on land.

I've used WhatsApp successfully using X unlink tied WiFi (on Android, not iPhone, but don't believe this would make a difference).

My DH and I use Facebook messager, works great as long as U are connected to wifi, and there is no charge. Used it in Europe , Mexico and Dominican Republic.
