Dawn -- Should I change from an SD (Family w/Balcony) to a SA (DOS)?

Prices have gone down since we booked and now the DOS is basically the same price as our Family Suite with balcony. We are doing the Southern Caribbean out of San Juan this November.

I sort of hate to give up the large balcony that we would have with the SD (we are in 15250). This is the first time for us on a "smaller" ship and the first time we have not sailed in the Haven, so we were planning on using the balcony quite a bit. This is a port-intensive cruise, but we will actually plan very little and plan on being on the ship for at least parts of each port day. Also, it seems that only the middle DOS are available -- the ones on the end which seem more spacious are not showing.

We are not big drinkers, so while the three bottles of alcohol are nice, they aren't enough to swing us. If you are in a DOS do you get unlimited water as well as soda?

We have other things to take into consideration (possibly losing Latitudes points and having to pay additional fees/taxes on things if this is considered a rebooking), but mainly I wanted to hear people's opinions of the room change without getting too much into the weeds of money and logistics. :D

Thanks!

I have the DOS for NYE and would make the switch in a heartbeat if there are more than two of you. The room is almost double the size and if you need a balcony the pool and bar are steps away on deck 12 and 13.
