Ordering Room Decorations?

Hey everyone!

So, I plan on ordering an anniversary package to surprise my boyfriend, but I want to make sure the room is decorated before we get there. I've read that we can't enter the ship until 1:30, so we plan on checking in at 2. I have read in previous threads and posts that most cruisers have their room decorated when they arrive, but they never said what time they checked in.

Do you think the room will be decorated by 2, when we check in? What are your experiences with these packages? If it won't be decorated by the time we board the ship, I'm not sure I want to order the package.

Please let me know your experiences with this!

We've ordered room decor a couple of times and both times the room was perfectly decorated when we went to our cabin at 1:30. You can always slip away from your boyfriend to "go to the bathroom" and check on the cabin to see if it's ready. But in my experience it's always ready on time. And the decorations are over the top and very festive.

I ordered the birthday decorations when I took my 48 year old daughters on a cruise for their 48th birthdays.

We had FTTF and the decorations were in place when we boarded.

If you specify embarkation day on your order I would be surprised if they weren't there when you get to your cabin.

I think there are only two issues with orders for the cabin not being there when you arrive.

First, orders that include perishable items such as cheese or meat appetizers.

Second, orders that include alcohol IF you are sailing from a port that doesn't allow the sale of alcohol until you are in international water, such as Texas.

Otherwise my experience has been your order will be there before you are.

You can board the ship earlier, you just can't enter your room until 1:30 unless you have FTTF (assuming you aren't Platinum).

If it won't be decorated by the time we board the ship, I'm not sure I want to order the package. I ordered a birthday package for DH last year and the room was decorated when we entered our room much earlier than 1:30 (we had FTTF).

Thanks! I was looking at the booking options and from the drop down menu there are options like

Day 1 (8/13/17) - the date we embark

Night 1 (8/13/17)

and above that it said

"Please select a delivery day. (Items will be delivered between 10am - 9pm)"

The time frame is throwing me off, that's why I was asking. I definitely want it the day of, so I was just thinking of selecting Day 1, but am hoping it'll be finished before we arrive.
