FisherBrewCrew Posted August 2, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 2, 2017 Hello! I am going on a cruise (Carnival Sensation) with a friend of mine and I fully intended on buying a WiFi package. I am wondering, if only one of us can be on the WiFi at once, are we able to purchase our WiFi access separately? I know she will not fair well not having access to her social media 24/7, and I am more of a light user but would like to be able to check in with my kids without having to ask her to disconnect. Thanks in advance!!
easyboy Posted August 2, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 2, 2017 Your friend can purchase a separate inexpensive internet plan for use while not sharing yours: https://help.carnival.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1152/~/carnivals-wi-fi-service-and-hub-app

I was reading over Carnivals site and didn't see that as an answer. Thanks again!
paul929207 Posted August 2, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 2, 2017 Yes, you would each want your own package.
notentirelynormal Posted August 2, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 2, 2017 Think of it this way. We buy a car. You use it 90% of the time. I use it 10%. Should we be paying equal amounts for the car and upkeep? Especially if you could have got that car for $1000 but your friend needed the $10,000 one. Do make sure you get your own plan. navybankerteacher Posted August 3, 2017 #6 Share Posted August 3, 2017 Yes, you would each want your own package. If the 10% figure is anywhere near right, the heavy user ought to be able to cut connect time from "24/7" to 90% of that - say 21.6/6.3. If not, she might consider staying ashore - a cruise is meant to be a change of pace.
