Port: Charleston, SC

$0.01/Person

Does anyone know what this is? It is under my excursions for an upcoming cruise, there is no info behind it, but costs a penny.

Just curious................would they really charge you a penny to be informed about your embarkation port?

Anyone know???

Edited to add that the copy/paste did not work.

Joe, it would make a lot more sense to just say " Watch this place for a brand new, loads of fun, not to be missed shore excursion."

You're right but who ever said "a lot more sense" applied to any cruise line? ;) But they could also use it to notify passengers of any port-related concerns prior to embarkation.

But it's not an excursion placeholder nor a tour.

Carnival can add as many excursions as they wish to the page without the need for an excursion placeholder.

I agree with the person that said it is a placeholder. The penny charge no doubt is because the software used to set it up for you to look at required something >zero. Basically it is a very fast way for Carnival to upload an alert or informative bulletin under fast-developing circumstances that would impact your cruise. No worries, but it might be a welcomed option should circumstances warrant.
