Dining during sail away

We have booked a table in the Pinnacle restaurant on Noordam at sailing time (8PM) for a celebration meal. Does anyone know when they do lifeboat drill etc & how that works around meal bookings?

Life boat drill will not be during sailaway....it has to be done prior, and the restaurants will not be open during lifeboat drill.

 

In your case, the drill will probably be around 4:30.

Noordam sailaway at 8 PM sounds like an Alaska cruise out of Seward. The lifeboat drill for those sailings would be held much later to accommodate late arrivals from Anchorage and those on Kenai Fjords cruises.

Often the Muster Drill out of Seward is in between 1st and 2nd seating, approximately 7:15 or 7:30 pm. Works for everyone. Reservations for Open seating would 5:30 or after 7:45 and for the Pinnacle, early or late.

 

OP: hope you can get a window table because the view for the first couple of hours out of Seward is fantastic!

When we sailed out of Seward -- sailing at 8 PM -- lifeboat drill was at 7:15.

One time we arrived by train and get to the ship at 7 PM -- barely had time to drop off carry-ons and get to lifeboat drill.

Just check your daily program as it could change by about 15 minutes.
